SFL COVID-19 Protocols

SFL Club wants to ensure the health and safety of our entire soccer family, we ask you to help us in that mission this upcoming year by reading and familiarizing yourself with our COVID-19 protocols. Our protocols have been put in place using guidelines set by the state and governing bodies with the aim of SFL running a safe and enjoyable environment for the upcoming season. For these protocols to be successful we need everyone to do their utmost to follow all of the protocols anytime you are attending an SFL event.

TRAINING SESSIONS (CLUB & PROGRAMS)

General

  • All players will have their temperature taken before each practice session
  • Do not attend any event if you feel unwell or show any symptoms (player and spectators)
  • Spectators will not be allowed to attend practices sessions
  • No hand contact of any kind is permitted

Players Are Required To

  • Wear a face covering from the car until they get to the training area
  • Wear a face covering when leaving the training area to the car
  • Bring adequate hydration as personal items and drinks will not be shared
  • Bring hand sanitizer to all SFL events
  • Bring both the black and red pinnie to every practice

Coaches Are Required To

  • Wear a face covering to and from the car
  • Wear a face covering on the field when social distancing is not possible

Parents Are Required To

  • Wear a mask for all drop offs and pick ups
  • Monitor and check your child’s symptoms before every event
  • Follow any signage or verbal direction given by any SFL staff member at
    all times

  • Home Games
  • Away Games

  • All coaches, players and spectators are required to wear a face covering between the car and the field.
  • Spectators face covering should remain on when on the sideline when social distancing is not possible
  • Players can remove their face covering once warm ups begin
  • Coaches face covering should remain on when social distancing is not possible
  • All players, home and away, will have their temperature checked on arrival
  • All players should be social distanced when off the field (pregame, substitutes, half time & full time)
  • Team benches will not be permitted – aluminum benches will be permitted only when sanitized by the coach prior to use and players can remain seated at least 6 feet apart
  • No hand contact of any kind is permitted
  • Should bring adequate hydration as personal items and drinks will not be shared
  • SFL recommends that Only one (1) spectator per player attends each game.
  • SFL strongly recommends that spectators over the age of 65 and/or with preexisting conditions do not attend
  • Each team will have their own side of the field along with their spectators to reduce interactions between competing teams and their spectators.
